Welcome Statue of Liberty

Hey,
My name is Brandon Scott.  I'm a Narcotics Investigator at the Abbeville County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina.  I've worked here since 1997 and have been doing drug investigations since 1998.

My web page is under construction but I hope to expand it soon.  So keep checking in to see what is going on.

This lab was seized in August 2002

On September 24, 2002 the Abbeville County Narcotics Division along with Laurens Co. Sheriff's Office, Laurens City Police Department, Honea Path Police Department, S.C. State Grand Jury, and SLED made 15 arrests in connection with an investigation that has lasted over three years.  This investigation was initiated by Abbeville County Sheriff's Office and ended up covering several surrounding counties.  This office got the State Grand Jury involved due to the crimes that were taking place and crossing county lines.  This helped break down jurisdictional limitations.  This operation was dubbed "Operation Crank Down".  It took out several high end drug dealers that were suppling drugs to surrounding counties along with individuals involved in manufactuing methamphetamine.  Those arrested were charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine (Conspiracy), an offense that can carry up to 25 years imprisonment and $200,000 in fines.

In August 2002 my unit investigated and seized an operating Meth Lab.  It is the first one ever found and busted in this county.  However we know it's not the only one here.  We are getting intelligence on alot more.  We hope to continue to be successful in busting Meth Labs and their operators.

In May 2002 the Abbeville County Sheriff's Office along with the Abbeville City Police Department in a joint investigation arrested 52 suspected drug dealers in the City of Abbeville along with others in the County.  This investigation lasted for 14 days and resulted in over 160 arrest warrants being issued on 52 people.  We used undercover operatives inside vehicles outfitted with audio and video recorders.
